
Feredun S. Azari

Dr. Feredun S Azari is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Thoracic Surgery Lab and a senior resident at the Department of Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Azari is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Association of Cancer Research, and is a current vice-president of Azerbaijani American Medical Association.
Dr. Azari was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. He subsequently completed his degree in Physical Chemistry at George Mason University in USA. Dr. Azari completed his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Azari is currently in the process of completing his ACGME accredited training in surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Azari has published extensively in the field of molecular imaging for lung cancer, pulmonary metastasectomy, and artificial intelligence guided molecular imaging integration. As a result, he has published his work at numerous prestigious journals and presented at high-profile conference meetings both nationally and internationally. Additionally, Dr. Azari sits at various societal committees exploring the role of molecular imaging in current practice.
